CSG and our downstream partners maintain the highest level of certification possible in the asset recovery and disposal industry. These industry and governmental certification programs establish, measure and reinforce sound quality management practices, environmental management practices, recycling procedures, and occupational health and safety policies, both internally for CSG and externally for CSG Partners. These certifications include:
ISO 9001-2008 Quality Management Standard
ISO 9001 is an internationally recognized standard for the quality management of businesses. It applies to the processes that create and control the products and services an organization provides through prescriptive systematic control and quality activities that ensure the needs and expectations of customers are met and surpassed.
TL 9000 Quality Management System
Built on ISO 9001 quality management principles, the Telecom Quality Management System further defines the requirements for telecommunications organizations to achieve high performance in design, development, production, delivery and service. The TL 9000 standard also specifies quality metrics against which companies can evaluate the effectiveness of their quality implementation and improvement programs.
ISO 14001 Environmental Management Standard
ISO 14001 is an environmental management standard that helps companies identify and control the environmental impact of its activities, products or services, establish continuous environmental performance objectives, and establish and measure systematic environmental objectives for the organization.
The Occupation Health and Safety Assessment Series is an international occupational health and safety management system specification that helps organizations reduce the risks and improve the performance of their occupational health and safety policies and procedures.
Responsible Recycling (R2)
The R2 Responsible Recycling practices were developed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to set de facto standards for the recycling industry and to recognize qualified and responsible recyclers. The program establishes a framework for responsible materials management, import and export regulation compliance, worker health and safety, and data destruction and security measures.
Recycling Industry Operating Standard (RIOS)
The Recycling Industry Operating Standard provides a framework for a comprehensive and integrated management system for the continual improvement of quality, environmental and health and safety performance of recycling service providers. This ANSI-ASQ accredited certification program helps recyclers to improve product and service quality, manage environmental compliance requirements, improve occupational health and safety practices, and improve the overall performance of the recycling industry.
CHWMEG, Inc is a non-profit association of manufacturers globally focused on waste recycling and risk management. The organization performs comprehensive and independent reviews of commercial facilities that treat, store, dispose, recycle or transport waste. Programs are based upon their potential environmental liability related to the wastes that are inherently generated by operators’ manufacturing processes.
CSG recycling vendors have been awarded the e-Steward electronics recycler designation awarded to North American electronics recyclers who have met the highest standards of environmental and social responsibility as determined by the non-profit environmental watchdog Basel Action Network (BAN).
